Podcast 18: Will X-Men Save the Future of Nutrition

What happens when you merge the worlds of doctor and personal trainer?
What do you find at the crossroads of medicine, theory and practice?
The Relentless Roger and the Caveman Doctor (RRCD) Podcast: Simplifying complex issues for healthy living
The podcast exists to take our daily efforts in the physical world and distill usable information for you, the listener.
In Episode #18 Roger and Dr. Champ:
- Respond to the New York Times article suggesting that not being overweight is actually bad for you by taking a look at another article in the New England Journal of Medicine saying otherwise
- Shout-out some iron game wisdom from Jason Ferrugia
- Review a mouse study that shows benefits to scheduled eating
- Remind the listener to foam roll slow as it’s all about myofascial release and not stretching by visiting Dean Somerset’s blog
- Tell you to biohack old school, not through any iPhone app, but rather through probiotics and naturally occurring GI bacteria
- Introduce the Nutrition Science Initiative as a welcome change to the status quo, and remind you that most of the dietary “information” we have access to is flawed at best
- Encourage you to embrace the power of consistently executing one simple task per day

Great podcast! did I hear you right? you were obese in college?
I can’t imagine Caveman Doc being overweight.
Haha, according to BMI I was. I didn’t say it was due to fat…
for a moment I thought you were human
I think your diet works bc I lost at least 5 pounds just by cutting sugar and carbs. I don’t work out, but I’m very active. I don’t need to lose weight I’m 115 pounds. I was trying to be healthy bc I’ve been getting sick lately, this is just a byproduct of eating unprocessed foods.
Haha… Great to hear. Keep up the good work!!
